Apple cider vinegar has been known to assist the body in its detox reaction to unwanted toxins and for helping maintain healthy weight levels. It's always good to be wary of anything promising to magically reduce your waistline.
One study in humans showed weight loss that was dose-dependent and increased throughout the duration of the study. The group taking a higher dose of liquid apple cider vinegar saw a larger drop in weight than the lower dosage group. Both groups actually regained some weight once they stopped their ACV intake after the study concluded.
Studies also show vinegar helps slow the speed at which glucose (sugar) enters the blood, and could help lower high glucose levels and insulin secretion. (It’s important to note that ACV won't reduce glucose blood absorption overall, but only slow its absorption over time.)
